I think we all have a desire to be creative. Mine started with a dream to create a greeting card empire, but alas I was only nine. Still, I created handmade cards for my family and friends with any tools or materials I had available to me. This eventually led to my studying theatrical scenic design at Emerson College, working at a graphic design studio in NYC, and finally to my own small printing business, Paper Slam, with my entrepeneur-husband, Patrick.
All the while I’ve continued drawing, moving from physical pens and brushes to digital ones. Inspired by nature, I create brightly colored scenes of animals that subtly encourage me from their spots on my wall – to explore, to be brave, to keep going, and ultimately to get out into nature whenever possible.
